A
Root Canal Can Save a Tooth
When a tooth was very infected or damaged and could not be
restored with a filling, extraction used to be the method of
correcting the problem. Today, a tooth that has this same
problem can be saved with a root canal. The doctors are
well-trained and experienced in the most advanced root canal
therapy. In the procedure, the pulp chamber of the tooth is
removed and a filling material replaces the pulp. When root
canals were first performed, they were painful and many patients
would avoid this procedure. But with today’s anesthetics and
technology, a root canal is often painless and will save the
tooth.
